Music-as-a-Service (MaaS)

Musicloudstudio & Technology – Bengaluru

Musicloudstudio & Technology is a Bengaluru‑based music & sound company working across ads, corporate films, documentaries, animation, short films, feature films, and more.

We operate as Music‑as‑a‑Service (MaaS): every project has a showrunner to keep one creative voice, while cross‑functional teams—composers, programmers, arrangers, vocal leads, mix/master—work in parallel. We add vetted freelancers as needed.

Our pipeline is human‑led and AI‑accelerated: AI speeds idea boards, QC, and deliverables; artists compose, perform, and sign off.

For producers, MaaS offers capped pricing options (and subscriptions across multiple projects) with industry‑standard deliverables—stereo/, labeled stems, and clean metadata.

For artists—composer, co‑lead, programmer, arranger, mix engineer, singer & others—we publish a clear royalty policy to safeguard contributions and credits.

Producer Pricing: Musicloudstudio & Technology will publish MaaS pricing for movies soon.

Pilot note: Carmeni Selvam is the first feature where we are piloting this MaaS model. Non‑sensitive KPIs will be published publicly upon completion of Carmeni Selvam.

How AI Helps (and Where It Doesn’t)

HELP

Styleboards from references; motif/voicing options to audition; stem clean‑up; loudness & harshness checks; similarity safety; batch alt mixes.

Doesn’t replace

Composition taste, performance, cultural nuance, final approvals.

Guardrails

Licensed inputs, provenance logs, watermarking, human sign‑off. AI is not a rightsholder.

Royalty Structure (with Full Example)

Publishing (songwriting):

  • Publisher share (50%) to the designated publisher (label/producer or our publishing arm).
  • Writers registered with IPRS; ISWC assigned per work.

Master (sound recording):

  • For songs/trailer cues that earn backend, we allocate an Artist Royalty Pool (e.g., 15% of Net Master Receipts after distributor/platform fees).

Pool is shared via a points grid per song/cue.

Royalty Structure

We separate Publishing (songwriting) from Master (sound recording) to ensure transparent revenue allocation.

Lyricists usually do not earn on the Master unless our deal explicitly includes them (e.g., if master-eligible, they may receive 2 points).

Publishing is separate: Writer share (50%) is split between composer(s)/lyricist(s) via IPRS—independent of the master pool above. If label policy excludes lyricist on the master side, reassign those 2 points (or reduce total to 18 points and recalc per‑point).

MaaS = one creative voice, many expert hands, and AI doing the busywork—so producers get predictable, capped costs and faster calendars, and artists get fair pay, clear credits, and royalties where applicable. Pricing will be published soon; Carmeni Selvam KPIs will be shared publicly after completion.

In a time of rapid AI disruption—and with many talented Gen‑Z artists entering music careers—it is essential to create a sustainable platform for all stakeholders: Artists, Production Houses, and Audiences. That is precisely what Musicloudstudio & Technology aims to build.
